l33t-raws Kokumono 12 link

June 27th, 2006 (09:35 am)

current mood: awake

For those who can't use .mkv or don't want to DL a 450 MB file, l33t-raws released Kokumono 12 last night.

Otherwise, from what I've noticed, you can access their site/stuffs, if you go to their base URL:

Now for me to sit down and take care of stuff. >_<;;

Please... forgive the uber-silly question, but... what program do I need to watch torrent files? I've always wanted to watch them, but I don't have the program I need to view them :-(

If when you DL the .torrent you only get a ~30kb file, the file then needs to be opened in your torrent DL program to DL the actual file. L33t-raws Kokumono files are usually *.avi files which can be played in Realplayer, Mediaplayer etc., but you'll need to make sure that you have the codecs to play video on your system as well. (If once the file's DLed you only get sound and no video, you'll know you don't have the codecs.)

If you go to Anime Suki's site you can find links for torrent clients, and playback help on the front page.

Thanks, Shadow. This makes a lot of sense, and now I know why I can't see them, and how to fix it. Thanks for the link, and for explaining to me about the different files :-)

Akito no more lies (flamika)

You need a BitTorrent client to download them, but usually the download is just an .avi file (sometimes they're .mkv or .mp4, but you can tell by looking at the full torrent link, which usually ends in something like .avi.torrent). Not sure which client would be best for a Windows machine, though.

Thanks, Ysa. I'll go check the download. From Shadow's explanation, it's looking like I don't have the right codecs to view the file. I suspect a call to my tech-savvy brother is in order :-)

you can do as shadow pointed out (i use bitcomet to download my torrents and open view the download in window media player) or you can join the saiunkoku lj and download the episodes direct. A few people have uploaded the episodes to regular http servers.

There's actually 4. (I just got my copy today, but haven't had a chance to read it yet). I was really bad again. >_<; But it seems like We Suck might be keeping up with or be slightly ahead of the raw release rate now for fansubbing. I believe ep 6 was just listed on Tokyo Toshokan.

Shadow where is the main story? What are they trying to get at?
Are we going to see the 8 wise men (gods). Ryuuki seems to be ugg clutsy in the anime...no polish. the novel's describtion of him seems to be more manly and polish. ugggg... i'm sorry Shadow's I'm just letting out of some steam for more meat in the anime. Also, can anyone answer this question:
Is Shurrei consider pretty in the novel? I have always thought that she was portrayed to be smart and pretty in the beginningof the novel, but somehow the anime seems to stry from that and ahve her average and smart??? What is TRUE?

Well, we need this current side story because otherwise, we would have started the next storyline with Eigetsu helping Shuurei in the kitchen and no clue who he was really. This one's not too much of a side trip really although it's not particularly important either. The next novel... we see story progression and character development, but not a huge amount of actual story overall either. The really interesting story development starts with the novel 4, although personally I'm really interested in the next magazine release. If I'm not mistaken, it's actually going to go into Shouka's past! >_<;; I *so* wish I could get my hands on it.

As for Shuurei, she's considered to be pretty average looks-wise.

I hope you don't mind me jumping into this thread, I follow your translations of the episodes which I dearly love and really enjoy the tibits you share. Please tell me that some of that character development you mention comes in a Kouyuu-shaped form? I'm dying to know more about his charactter especially as this recent episode mentioned how his own time studying for the exam was far from easy.

Thank you, by the way, for all the excellent work you contribute to the fandom.

For smaller files with still really good quality, I love this website: http://www.greedland.net/index.html - the added benefit is that Saiunkoku raws tend to often get posted there hours before they end up on l33t-raws, which makes me a very happy Saiunkoku fan girl!

I just got into Saiunkoku Monogatari...and am totally psyched to see that you are doing translations/summaries of the novels. I currently rely on We Sucks'subs in addition to Ksubs...but this definitely rocks. Keep up the good work and thanks for taking time to do so. I tried to feedback to your guestbook on your site, but it was not working. Either way, thanks again for the great work!

Yuki - Rat Heaven

I mostly just wanted to drop a line saying that I've enjoyed reading your summaries. I was quite happy to discover that you've started a new section for Saiunkoku and found your character summary invaluable since I've been having a little trouble keeping them straight. You've done a wonderful job, and I love the care and detail that you put into this site, especially with the Fruits Basket translations.

The above is what I had planned to leave on your website, but the internet hates me sometimes. I also hope you don't mind that I friended you here as well to keep up to date on your website improvements/additions. No need to friend back, but I thought I'd give you fair warning. Thanks again for all your hard work!
