This was very much a Yuki chapter again. Kyo seemed to have gone into a major gloom and doom despite the end of last chapter but was very effective booted out of it. Yuki's and Kyo's fight finally sees Kyo seeing the light of day and realising just what he'd been turning his back on refusing to accept. But the fight saw a *lot* of old baggage, while not necessarily specifically spoken of, dealt with.
Honda Grandpa is, as he's always been through the series, absolutely wonderful. It's a little hard to believe that he and Katsuya could have had such problems getting along earlier, but then, it's hard to imagine how he might've been before Honda Grandma passed away too. However, that he noticed Kyo missing, and that he so readily picked up on Yuki's frustration over "the idiot" is very much Grandpa. And how Yuki follows his advice! ^^;
Of the 12shi, we missed seeing Aya, Ritsu and Kureno. Poor Ritsu hasn't been seen for a very long time now. ^^; Kureno I think has other problems (like being stabbed) to deal with, and we'll see what "the King" ends up doing if he gets to show up later. (Aya scares me quite frankly). :P
Perhaps one of the best lines (other than Haru's and Gure's comments) was Yuki's "This is me, the one you wanted to be..." In Japanese, Yuki uses "ore-sama" which he hasn't used since the fireworks scene at the beach. That "oh so conceited" act was simply perfect. And how utterly he defeated Kyo. Poor kitty didn't realise until *after* getting to the hospital what time it was. I really do hope Uo-chan and Hana-chan give him a piece of their minds as well. Maybe Megumi too. :P
So many incredible shots in this chapter. The next one will be most interesting as well. 2+ weeks to wait. And no teaser on Hakusensha's site for the next chapter. >_
