O_O Upcoming HakuYou blurb

Blurb for the latest HakuYou is out. ^o^ Seriously wanting to know what happens next, but not sure if it's this book or the next that'll really be interesting. :P

Regardless what happens, I believe in you...!

After seeing the ship Lydia is on depart for Faerie, Edgar tries to rule over the organisation as the Prince's memories he carries start to awaken. Lydia and the others begin searching for the legendary country through which they can reach Ibrazel but...?!

So yeah. Lots of things that I haven't covered that happen after... is vol 18 the last one that I managed to summarise/translate in the series? Eep!

How many volumes are in the series so far?

This book will be #24 in the series (#25 if you count the fan book as #18) and #20 for main story volumes. Yikes it's gotten long! ^^;

Wow. I had no idea it was that long a series. It must be very popular in Japan if the publisher has agreed to put out that many volumes.

This link shows how many vols were sold by publisher, # of titles, ave. # of vols per title by publisher, and # of vols by author for the different publishers.

Numbers for 2009 for Beans Bunko
Yukino Sai 313 812
Yuuki Mitsuru 116 580
Seike Mimori (Migawari Hakushaku) 76 451

One thing worth noting though, is that the authors for Shounen Onmyouji and Migawari Hakushaku release multiple vols per year while Yukino Sai releases maybe one vol per year.

For Cobalt, Tani Mizue is the second most sold author with 106 749 vols sold.

For 2010:
Yukino Sai 148 129
Yuuki Mitsuru 180 814
Seike Mimori 71 025

Tani Mizue 62 500

You can really see the effect of releasing or not releasing a vol can have on the numbers.
