Still, it's this sort of thing that makes me question my role in fandom. There's always the question of how much harm fan* (subbers, scanlators) do to the industry. It might've been less before than it is now with things having gone digital and with high-speed 'net access the norm. I do think certain aspects of what fan* do serves a purpose, but at the same time, there was once a definite credo to the fan* community as well. I'm not really sure how much that still holds these days. Mind you, I do (have done) fan-translations (amongst other things) for various titles, so it's not like I can fling stones or anything.
Having watched the industry over the years (since the 90's or so), I have to admit that in some ways it has changed a lot, and yet, in others, it hasn't changed nearly enough. :/ Still, it's never a good thing to see. :/
How ironic that the music I'd hunted down over the past number of days are the soundtracks for Arslan Senki (Heroic Legend of Arslan) and Utena. I have to decide if I want to re-rip Utena since they were apparently back-ported from FSU's iPod after her last desktop died the big crash.
Looks like my archive calendar's back to normal. ^_^ And I thought I saw someone say something about cuts working properly with X-posting, so here's to hoping...
[ETA: It works! ^o^]
