I was trying to rip a CD last night, but the drive (laptop's DVD drive) wouldn't recognise the CD. It doesn't seem to be the disk (plays fine on my portable CD player), nor does it seem to be the drive (ripped a different CD without problems), so I'm wondering if it's because the CD is so old. (The CD was released in 1991.) Any ideas on how I can get my drive to recognise the disk (if it's possible)?

TIA!

*laughs* Well they are rather temperamental, and I swear they love tormenting us. :P What's really lovely is that the system says the drive is working fine blah, blah, blah. Oh well. The desktop ripped the disk fine, so at least I have some music. ^_^
