Oddly enough, I feel kind of cheated. ^^; I didn't study for the test, I knew I was making mistakes but didn't correct them, and yet I still passed. O_o (I wasn't even seriously aiming to pass since I really wasn't ready for the test.)
......I feel like maybe I should've taken JLPT1 the previous year and seen how the cards fell then instead (since I felt like I lost a lot of kanji and knowledge over the course of last year as I wasn't actively subbing / translating). >.> But! I definitely have room for improvement, and the test is being revamped in 2010 (although no major changes are planned for N1), so... I'll probably continue taking the exam every year or two in order to maintain and maybe try building on my language skills. ^^;
The question now is do I also try for the Kanji Kentei (sic Kanken) next. (Hey! I can take a test with elementary school kids! Now there's a humbling experience! :P ) It's offered in Vancouver, so it is possible. ^^; The problem there is that I'd have to start working on my greatest bane: writing. As in writing by *hand*. I might have to go back to like grade... 2? 3? (sic Kanken 8 or 9) *laughs* Shall see. ^^;
