kemonotachi no yoru

So, I finally ran out of patience and decided against waiting for the Eee to finish charging before I turned him on. I had to assign him a name in order to log him onto the network, but we'll see if I change it. :P He's such a tiny cutie! So far, set-up has been simple. Boot-up is less than 30s as far as I can tell thanks to the Linux OS. (I've only done the first start up boot and the account set-up reboot.)

I've only had him for ~1 hr, so I still need to work on setup (? I have something to set up??) and looking at getting the full desktop instead of using the "Easy" interface Asus set as the default. Otherwise, the only thing I've done so far is to play a game of Solitaire. :P FWIW, getting him onto the network was easy. I think remembering where the Network info was kept was more of a headache. :P

I'm curious to see how the rest of this guy is and how the vid playback etc is. ^^;; I will admit, the keyboard is quite small and I would definitely not suggest this for people with longer nails. They'd probably hit other keys etc. (Also definitely not suggested for older people as the screen is quite small and despite the low resolution (800x480) the text is quite small.

Anyhow, this is my first post from the little guy. :P Here's to hoping he can post. :P
