I think the worst thing so far about this NaNo is that it wants to write itself at 5AM! Talk about an ungodly hour! Sadly, it's very effective at getting me to work too. >.<;; However, even I have to admit, trying to write in the dark with a fountain pen simply *isn't* very practical. I eventually gave up on that this morning and turned on the computer, so the ideas got on page, but when I checked my notebook later on, it had some very intriguing chicken scratches on it. Some of them even formed words. Obviously, I wasn't holding the pen right. Next time, I'll have to remember to leave a regular gel pen by the bed! *laughs*
Looking at my outline, I'm not even 1/4 of the way through yet. In terms of story, beyond the 2 week jump from the initial scene, ~4 hours have passed?? *sigh* ~12.5k / 37 pages so far with a projected total of ~150 pages to reach 50k. I also still have two transitions to fix at some point. (No tumbleweeds going through my NaNo yet though, so I'm still in better shape than last year. :P )
I'd hoped to do more translating tonight if I reached 12k, but...... quite frankly my brain's too far gone to do much more. Hopefully I can finish the scene I'm working on at the moment, but even that's unlikely now. >.<;;
Good luck with your NaNo's everyone!
Mai finally regains consciousness after taking a bad spill down the stairs. Naru's in the room with her, but she doesn't recognise him:
"What's your name?"
"Eh? Taniyama Mai."
"......I'm a student--third year of high school."
"What's the last thing you remember?"
"Talking with you."
"......What's the last thing you remember before waking up in the hospital?"
*splat* Shadow's down for the night.
