NaNo Day 6 shout-out

And it's day 6 of NaNo! By the end of today, you should've reached 10k. Where are you? (It's nowhere near the end of the day yet for me, so I still have time, but my current word count is a measly ~3500. >.> I definitely have to get off my butt.

Time for a little mock or praise! :P (Obviously I'm in the to be mocked crowd currently. ^^; )

[ETA: Final word count for the day: 3957. -_-;;

I hereby submit myself for mockery. ^^;

Oh weekend~, I believe you and I are going to be getting very chummy with the laptop, bottomless cups of tea, and no fun stuff until after I make my word count. ......Or at least if I do, the word count must also get up to par in order to cover up the fact. ^^;

Heh, me too, because of the elections (even though I live in Finland), I haven't gotten anything done in the past couple of days, so I'm also at ~3500.

*stern* Time to get moving, you. Weekend's almost here, so I don't know about you, but I'll be locking myself up then. ^^; I might do another shout-out on day 9. I think us laggers might like a chance to try redeeming ourselves post-weekend. ^^;

This year, I'm actually managing to do it. The first year, I had a word count of 0. Last year I think I might have hit a little over a thousand. This year, I have 12346 words so far! And I still have a few more hours to write tonight. :D

At 4,492 on a co-authored fic. So we're VERY behind. We plan on marathon writing through the weekend though.

But you've done so much translating ~~which I need to read~~! So that doubles the word count at least.

I'm sitting just over 18,500. I won't mock you and no one else should either. I say this because you are doing nano in another language. That requires some dedication, giving you extra points. :P

I have been purposefully writing 3334 words per day because I want to be finished before Thanksgiving, it is just my personal goal. I am pushing myself with discipline to just sit down and write. :)

*laughs* Yes, but I've written something of NaNo *length* before, just not in that short a time frame. (I think GH2 took ~4-6 months to write.) Right now, I *know* I'm procrastinating, so it's time to start getting serious. I will admit, I don't write as fast in J as I do in English, and I have a horrible tendency to drop letters on occasion which makes for very weird words sometimes, but I *can* do this. *determined* I just need to crack the whip a touch. ^^;

You're doing great so far! Good luck and keep it up! ^o^

*laughs* I don't mind a little bit of mild mockery as long as everyone understands that it's meant in fun and that we're all hoping for everyone to get through this insanity. ^_^ Yay, for self-discipline. Too bad I have none right now. :P

Hang in there! You can do it! It can be really hard to get the words out sometimes, but the important thing is to just keep going. Keep typing those few words and eventually they'll add up to something much larger. I have a tendency to check my word count every few sentences or so, so I watch my word count creep up by 10, 20 words. If I'm lucky, I might get a paragraph of 100 or so words. ^^; Little by little. Just keep working at it. ^_^ (That and having a nice cup of tea nearby is also always good, too. :P )
