FWIW, I've now read up to book 13 for Hakushaku to Yousei, although I skipped any short story books and still haven't finished book 1. Raven's still my fave character in this series! ^o^ This series is lots of fun. So much humour, some good story, it's definitely a light novel series though; it also lacks the writing style and depth of Saiunkoku or Shounen Onmyouji. It can make me laugh, but so far it's only made me sniffly once.
There are sooo many funny scenes in this series though! ^o^ Two more books to go plus all the short stories, but... I'm going to have to hang reading for writing now. >.> Argh! Why must it be so hard to sit down and write?? Reading may be done after I reach my daily word count. ......Yeah right. As if I have that sort of self-discipline! ^^;;
Good luck to everyone doing NaNo~!

Unable to clearly describe the problem, their client explains that their daughter Kana has also changed a little since they moved to the mansion. Upon reaching the mansion, the members quickly set about setting up the equipment for the investigation when Mai ends up getting knocked out falling down the stairs. Masako witnessed Mai's accident, but is so shaken that she is unable to tell the others about what had happened right away. Unsure whether the mansion is or isn't haunted, and despite their concern for Mai, the others continue their work. However, when Mai regains consciousness...
