Of the new titles this season, so far I've managed to watch Hakushaku to Yousei, Kuroshitsuji, Shikabane Hime, Yozakura Quartet, Skip Beat!, and VK Guilty. Of these...
Hakushaku to Yousei
This was *so* cliche in some aspects it had made staring at the monitor in mild, bemused shock and horror. ^^;; However, the story concept behind the anime has me curious enough that I'm willing to give it another ep or two before running for the hills dying of laughter. ^^; The story's based on a Cobalt Bunko novel series, so... It could be pretty shoujo-esque. ^^;
......? This... was strange. I'm not quite sure what to make of this title from the first ep. It's pretty dark in some ways and yet has a bizarre humour to it as well. Not sure about this one yet either. I had debated picking up a vol or two of the manga but am not sure. Maybe I'll look into that aspect more online...
Might be interesting...? Some weirdness, but so far it has piqued my interest mildly. I think I'll follow a bit more of this one before deciding yea or nay.
Not sure about this one at all. This one neither grabbed me, nor turned me off. Sort of an 'is there' impression so far. Maybe watch another ep or two before deciding. (I seem to be doing that quite a bit here...)
Hmm... I'll admit, I wasn't sure what to expect of this, and the anime has strengthened that thought. Quite frankly, if I didn't know how I reacted and felt about the manga, I wouldn't have made it beyond 5 mins for this anime. (I didn't get into the manga until ~vol 2 or 3.) The anime seems to be staying true to the manga so far, and has all the strengths/weaknesses associated with it. I'm not sure how FSU feels about this anime, but if it doesn't get better quickly, I may well skip this one.
Yay! The continuation to VK~! :P It seems to be keeping in line with the previous season and seems to be staying true to the manga storyline. Can't wait until we get further into the this story arc. This is definitely on my watch list for now. ^o^
Otherwise, I also watched Galileo φ (a special) which was apparently released on the same day as the new movie. I wish I could see the movie. *sigh* Shall wait and see what comes up for that one. ^^; The special wasn't bad overall; it had it's moments. However, Dr. Yuukawa wasn't in it at all. >.>
And lastly, I *just* got my test voucher for JLPT. York U is literally doing everything electronically--it was sent by e-mail. I'll have to remember to print it out later. ^^;
