Quick Reminder

current mood: cold
Just a quick reminder to folks who are planning on writing the JLPT in Canada (and the US?) this year. The deadline is fast approaching, so if you're going to take it, you'll want to at least register soon / ASAP. I happened to check out the Vancouver test site, and it's moved from SFU's downtown campus and will be out at Capilano U in N. Van this year. (Just as well I'm taking it in Toronto! It looks like it's *way* out in the middle of nowhere. Are there even any accommodations out there?? ......Not that I think you'd want to stay in that area unless you wanted to do some day hiking or something...) Good luck to anyone planning on taking it! ^_^
I've already registered over at York U although I haven't booked my travel arrangements yet. I'll be doing that in the next week or so. (Really must remember to just book the thing...).
I think I now have all my study materials for the exam now. I just picked up the JLPT1 kanji book and will be flipping through that as well as a general study book later. This could be spooky. My kanji recognition is waaaayyy down right now. >.>
Otherwise, male parental is apparently looking for a new laptop. This time, we're thinking of getting him a basic 17". Right now he has a 15.4" (set to 800x600), but the letters are still a little too small for comfort. *sigh* On the flip side, I did get to see and go insane (not in a good way) over the Acer Aspire One netbook. Actually, the 17" HP and Toshiba both drove me up the wall as well. I can't handle the keyboards on any of them. I couldn't figure out where the Home and End keys were, and the shift key drove me wonko. >.<;
Oh well. I picked up the Ouran Host Club novel today, so I think I'm going to curl up with that tonight. Shall see. :P
Best of luck!!
