Argh! Firefox keeps crashing on me making it very difficult to get anything done online right now. I suppose this means I should consider switching to M$IE until the next update but... >.> FWIW, the instability began after I updated to FF3.0 I have no idea if it's possible to switch back to the early version anymore. *sigh*

And we now return you to your regular reading. :P (Actually, I'm finally feeling a little more alive again, but the browser instability is making for difficult anything. I'm currently on Haku because I got so fed up with Mokkun, but will be going back down to Mokkun once I take care of some email. ^^; )

If, if you roll back to two, you'll have to run it safemode to get it up and running (mine would crash upon launch when I used the roll back option-loaded in safemode once and it worked normally after that). You'll have to completely uninstall it if you go through the nightly builds to get back to two and delete the folder (export your bookmarks to the desktop or something).

Ugh! Sounds ugly. >.<;; Thanks for the tips for getting back to a workable browser. ^_^ I still have the earlier version on Haku since all the software on it's modified by Asus, but Mokkun... *sigh*

I have heard absolute horror stories about Firefox 3. Someone on my f'list spent a whole day fooling with it, and then finally uninstalled it and then reinstalled 2, but I don't know the particulars.

Yeah, even I have to admit, it's been pretty bad. I've had it crash while I was away from my system or even when I hit the back button. >.<; My shortest up time would be open browser and crash. >.> This is the first time since switching to FF that I've been tempted to use MSIE simply to have a bit more stability even though it's messier to clean up after. :/

Don't got to IE!!!! Noooooooooooo!!!!

I'm sorry FF3 is giving you so much trouble. :( I suggest checking http://lifehacker.com/tag/firefox-3/ to see if they have any helpful tips (although I think all of theirs might have been for before you make the swtich.

Cheers for the link! I'm currently trying out Opera and am debating if I want to try out Safari as possible alternative browsers. ^^; Sadly some sites aren't very alt browser friendly. >.>

Have you switched to Mac? Safari is OS X only.

Some sites are indeed very unfriendly to non-IE browsers. Stupid sites. >_<

*laughs* As tempted as I've been to jump ship for the past who knows how long from Windows, I'm still using M$. In any case, I believe there's now a version of Safari for Windows. I seem to recall a DL option for it with a Quicktime update or something. :P

Lucky Star: Konata 1

While the older releases are no longer visible from the website, you can find many of them here: http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/.

While others have flagged up issues you might have rolling back to this earlier version, this is where to find them if you didn't keep a copy. :)

user agent?

I read this post and asked my friend (a programmer) about it. he said that it depends on the OS one's using. If you're using windows (like me -.-), then maybe the user agent is turned on, or you have other programmes that prevent FF from functioning properly... ^^;

Re: user agent?

^_^ From the way the browser's behaving, I suspect it's a combination of issues. Thanks for the tip about the user agent. ^_^
