Well, this week certainly hasn't been going according to plan. This isn't necessarily meant in a bad way; just that things have gone differently from what was expected. Things started going awry on Tuesday IIRC, when the male parental needed someone to bring him home from the hospital (in for an exam after which he's not allowed to drive). I was expecting to drive him home during the mid-afternoon. Instead I ended up driving in the height of rush hour... *sigh* (And we all know how much I drive, right? :P )

That's okay, I took one of my GH doujinshi with me to read at the hospital. The story itself is interesting but... there are original characters in it from I don't know where, and it's... well it's boooorrrrrinnnggg. (The story's interesting in concept but dull to read. I keep skipping ahead trying to see if something interesting happens.) >.> *sigh* I'll have to rethink about buying more doujinshi by this circle.

And today, I learned that jury selection has been cancelled tomorrow. All of a sudden, I'm free. Good free in a way because I don't have to worry about that thing any more (it was cancelled-cancelled, not postponed). The bad thing? I was planning on going to the Central Library afterwards to do a bit of research for a certain fic that's been on hiatus for a number of years. That plan's pretty much gone up in smoke now. ^^;;

Today also saw a certain box from Amazon JP land on us. I wasn't expecting it quite yet since the package wasn't in the system when I checked (in case it arrived tomorrow when I was supposed to be at jury selection). Imagine my surprise when I received the package instead. ^^; That's okay, most of the books in this order weren't for me, so I'm hoping FSU's order from Iwase arrives soon (Vampire Knight, Golden Days 1, and latest Claymore).

This week's been slightly off kilter and not going according to plan. >.> Ah well, I'd completely forgotten that it's the long weekend this weekend. ^^; I guess I *do* have time now. :P

Ginny's right. (As always!) Tea is the perfect answer to off-kilter weeks. Although the week has been off-kilter, it sounds like it hasn't been terribly bad off-kilter. That's a good thing.

Don't forget the sweets, you guys!

Rush hour! How fun!

Yes, I'll stop now, I promise.

No jury duty? *gasp* What will you do now that you don't have serve as an honorary member of a jury?

(How did you get so blessed to be called for such a priveledge anyhow?)

Thank heavens for freedom. ^o^ I definitely wasn't looking forward to the possibility of jury selection considering. (The summons arrived a few days after it was revealed on the news that a high-profile case was going to trial this month after having been granted a change of venue (from a smaller town/city due to fears of being unable to assemble an impartial jury). I knew it was highly unlikely the summons would be for that case, but the timing was a little startling.) >.>

(? Negative karma combined with being an adult, a member of society with no criminal record, and no other extenuating circumstances to see me excused from it? Fortunately, I can't be summoned to serve jury duty again for another two years. ^_^ )

Having free time is always a good thing. :]

Doujins, doujins...I'm still sad that the ones I want are so expensive. :[

^^;; Tell me about it. Unfortunately, the boring one was also quite pricey. >.> BTW, do you order your doujinshi direct from Japan or elsewhere?

Ebay's usually the only place that I can find doujins on, although I buy from LJ Users sometimes when they sell off their doujins with ads in the communities. I don't really the system well enough to try JP Yahoo! Auctions. Some websites seem quite pricey too.

Ah, okay. I've never tried out ebay. ^^; Personally, I find it easier to search for doujinshi at used doujinshi shops (assuming they ship overseas) or on Yahoo JP, but you do have to watch out what you bid on etc. Going via auctions can be more expensive than the used shops, but you'll might find more titles. *sigh* Ah well. Will just have to keep hunting. ^^;
