And... thankfully, LJ and Firefox has a strong cache for unposted posts since I have a post reply and most of a FF chapter written up in rough form, although I might rethink how to do things, for that silly GH FF that suddenly bit the other day. For some reason it hasn't left my system yet. >.> We'll see. Anyhow, at some point, my computer rebooted (I vaguely recall hearing something beep when balling some yarn this evening) so I'm lucky not to have lost all that.
As it is, Rosy Fingered Dawn has now been started. >.<; FSU bought me a skein of Claudia hand painted yarn a couple of weeks ago, and I fell in love with the name of one of the colourways. The colours themselves are also really good for this project so... She bought me the "oops" colourway. ^^;;
I had FSU start the central fingers section as she suggested doing an i-cord start and my brain wasn't computing the concept. I've heard of it, but I don't know if I've ever done an i-cord before. I know she did it when doing the Mermaid jacket though. ^^; I'll be continuing with it tomorrow and will see how far I get overall. Needles might become a limiting factor in the days to come depending on the circulars order. Short of stripping a UFO and stealing its needles, I don't think I have any appropriate 3.75mm circulars (US5) for this project (sic wooden or bamboo needles).
As it is, I ended up knitting a small scented sachet instead this evening. Whee. It was a free gift included with an order from Fiddlesticks so I finally knit it up. It's cute and made from Zephyr, but it still needs to be cast off (with picot edging) and then sewn up.
*sigh* I think I need to join the knit from your stash group in concept. I've got so much lace-weight yarn now and very little actually knit up. FSU bought another skein of Lorna's Laces for me today. >.<;; This time in a purple colourway. Oh well. Replies will have to wait until tomorrow. I'm going to read through Rosy Fingered Dawn again and maybe scribble some more stuff down (FF or translation, I'm not sure which yet). My brain's a bit tired.
