And so the hunt began...
Through boxes and boxes of yarn in the basement, throughout the house... we found plenty of fingering weight, lace weight (mine! hands off!), worsted, and aran weight. And while there was some DK, it wasn't of a particularly wearable colour... >.< And so began the hunt of what to buy...? Oddly enough, the Angelina Jacket's supposed to be a "to be made but not particularly to be worn" project. ^^; Which explains why I spent most of the morning and part of last night going through various shops sites looking for yarn... Lisa Souza has some nice DK weight yarn of a particularly nicely-sized skein--750m/skein. ^^; She'd only need two for the entire thing. :P
We'll see. The other idea was maybe to pick up some Peter Rabbit by Fleece Artist over at Ram Wools or something. The only thing is, since it's a "throw-away" project, the idea was not to spend too much money on materials. >.< Maybe she can use the alpaca we bought from Knit Picks. Personally, I still find it hard to believe that we have so little DK weight yarn here. It's almost all fingering weight or lace weight...?
And in the meantime, GH, Shoumyou, and Kokumono kept getting pushed further and further behind. Of course, I also have to ask myself how many times I have to compile a file before I get the font settings right (at least 4 times apparently...). I've been far too brainless so far this year. This is not a good sign for things to come. >.<
I think I'll let the system compile for the night and call things here. Hopefully all three eps will go out to editors some time tomorrow... >.
