A new one we're subbing, but not like Kokumono. This one's literally as the title says, about hunting ghosts and investigating paranormal incidents. Ghost Hunt is written by the same novelist as 12 Kokuki. Unlike 12 Kokuki, GH was published in by a teen novel publisher.

The basic storyline goes something like:

Taniyama Mai is a first year high school student who enjoys ghost stories and the mysterious. One day when telling stories with her friends after school, a young man, Shibuya Kazuya (17), appeared. While her friends were completely taken with the incredibly handsome (almost beautiful) Shibuya, Mai realises that something is off about him, and becomes suspicious.

The next day, on her way to school, she stops by and peeks inside the old schoolhouse which has been under repair on and off over the years. Inside the doorway, she finds a TV camera and wonders where it came from, when she is startled by a voice from behind. Because of her surprise, she causes a shoecase to topple, and the man shoves her out of the way preventing her from being injured, and he ends up getting injured instead. Shibuya then shows up and Mai discovers that he is not a transfer student as she and her friends had thought the day before, but was the head of Shibuya Psychic Research and they had come to investigate rumours about the old schoolhouse being haunted. And since Mai had caused his assistant, Lin Koujou, to be injured, Shibuya insists that she take Lin's place and assist him in his investigation...
