current mood: getting divebombed

Kokumono 14 has just gone out for final check. Yay! Of course, those who get this file are probably all sleeping considering the time. ^^;;

And of course, Kokumono 15 will be out in another day or so. Yay! Can't wait to see what they did with this part to the story. ^___^ I wonder what I should work on in the meantime. ......Shall see. :P

I can't quite remember when, maybe last Saturday, I finished day and night socks. They're currently in the wash, but they're quite amusing to see. I'll have to find time to photo them. They are truly like "night" and "day". ^^;;

I already cast on my next pair of socks. (Socks are too addictive!!) ^^;; This time, it's a slip-stitch pattern by Red Bird Knits. I'm doing the socks in Furry Yarns' MaineBear Sox in their Pacifica colourway. Fun stuff. Although the yarn was a pain to ball. I reached the pattern stage and will do the pattern in a 9 row pattern repeat. The pattern suggests a 12 row repeat, but it doesn't make sense to me that way, so I'm going 9.

I wonder what I'll do after I finish these socks... I get a fair amount of knitting time when compiling these sub files... Ack! I forgot to send...!! >_<;;

*ahem* But yeah, I'll need to figure out what I'll do after these socks. Maybe this month's sock club pattern. I remember liking how it looked but was already decided on doing the slip stitch socks next. Shall see. IIRC it was a leafy pattern. ^_^

Read Laurell K. Hamilton's Danse Macabre the other day. *sigh* I seriously need to find myself some new authors to read. I don't mind smut or smutty scenes, but when a book is predominantly smut with only bits of story... >_<;; I don't usually care to buy those sorts of books in hardcover. Paperback, I don't mind so much, but hardcover's a bit too pricey for that. :/

Anyhow, I'm getting dive-bombed by a mosquito who's made it's way into the house. :/ So I think I'll flee for the night.

horatio and archie

I used to love Laurell K. Hamilton. When the Anita Blake series first started, I thought it was wonderfully original, with biting humour and lots of fun involved. And then the series became nothing more than softcore porn, and I lost interest FAST. I'm so disappointed in how a talented writer like her has become so obsessed with sex, it makes me very sad indeed. :(

I'm still behind in Kokumono so I might wait till you up episode 14 and have a mini marathon. :D Ryuuuuuki~~ <3

*sigh* Yeah, I like her earlier work until she wrote herself into a stupid corner and ended up wiping the slate as it were. But her latest works are rather obsessed with the sexual side and seriously ignores the story aspect which is really disappointing. I've been reading Charlaine Harris' work for vampirish novels. It's okay but... it's not quite as edgy stuff. :/

*remembers how many finished projects she hasn't posted*

Nevermind. -_-;;

^^;; *poke* I can always hope you'll post more knitting photos too. ^_^

Sadly this week has been quite warm so Mermaid has been progressing a bit more slowly. All I'm certain of is that it hasn't reached the second armhole yet. As to where it is between that and the centre point though... ^^;;

tamaki

yay!ep.14 me too I can't wait for ep.15 ^^;;

I got tired of LK's pRontastic novels. Last time I read was the Meredith Gentry Novel which is also full of smut and a harem of bishies. I forgave that one a bit because I love reading stories about fairies^^;; I've heard a lot of good things about Stephenie Meyer's 'Twilight' book. I need to order that book soonish..

btw- The only knitting I've ever done was a basic scarf with one color a_a

^^;; Most of my knitting is single colour as well. Sooner or later I'll go at colour changes. :P Socks though are lots of fun. ^o^

Try reading Julie Garwood or Julia Quinn's works, you're going to love them.
