Fading fast...

July 4th, 2006 (01:30 am)
sleepy

current mood: sleepy

You know it's a sad day when you go to a really good yarn shop and can't find anything to buy. >_<;; It was a very sad feeling. Unfortunately, since m1 recently had their summer solstice sale, there wasn't anything we really wanted to buy and we mostly went because the FSU won a prize in a contest they were holding. She won a yarn kit for a sweater in Rebecca magazine so I'm thinking about trying to knit it. It's a simpler looking v-neck with a bit of cabling. Shall see. I have to read through the pattern again.

And before I forget to mention it for the umpteenth time, Kokumono Drama CD Bangaihen 1 that's slated for Sep 8 release... the title is something like "friendship hotspring trip" and it involves Shuuei and Kouyuu... My mind is partially frozen in horror and partially has this horrifying thought that maybe it's like some of the fanservice disks that sometimes come out like... was it Ryvius that had Silver and Gold fandisks?? All I remember was that they were truly mind-numbing in a most horrific sense.

And I bunged compiling ep 13 twice now. >_<;; Please let third time be the charm because I'm wanting to hunt down my bed soon. (Bad sign when you start nodding off at the 'puter).

Anyhow, will try to catch up on replies tomorrow. They're starting to *look* at me... O_O;;

Thanks for scripting Ep 13. I missed out on the last ep you subbed due to work, but I'll happily look at 13 and comment on whatever comes up. But don't do that to the extent where you give yourself pains from lack of sleep! This is bad! Sleep more! While we admire your dedication, I don't think anyone wants you to become sick from this.

Re: Ep 13 - Seiran's potential love rival getting thrown in a lake was hilarity. So he can get jealous when he wants to. The Yougetsu/Eigetsu thing was warped. ;) And w00t! Next story's back to main plot!

*laughs* Not when I'm half asleep apparently I can't. ^^;; Thankfully the last compile was done properly so it's gone for editing now. :P I'm just glad I got those out of the way before FB was released. I didn't want them all to come crashing on my head concurrently. I'm not a great multi-tasker. ^^;

It's going to be a toss-up between whether ep 11 or 13 is released first but... ^^;; shall see. :P

*laughs* I usually don't keep going to the point of nodding off at the 'puter, but I have to admit, starting to fall asleep shortly after midnight is pretty uncommon for me. I'm more nightowl / vampire. Of course it's summer right now so "night" is somewhere between 11:30 PM and 4:30 AM... ^^;;

I loved the "toss the kid in the river" bit. ^^;; I know Seiran's been extremely protective of Shuurei but... it does make her really dense to anything hinting of romance.

Can't wait for the next episode. While it might not be possible, I'm really hoping for one little scene in the kitchen... ^o^

I'm on World Cup time, which means my brain is mostly sparks and death at the moment. So I'm not the best person to give advice about vampiric hours. ;)

My favorite scene has got to be "sheep and parchment". Though flutespeek came close. Does anyone honestly believe Ryuuren will become an official? ^_^

Hrm, not sure I really like this logic about make-up and not being a man -- it makes sense, given the time period, but I was really hoping Kochou would handle something else with regards to "womanly wisdom". :/

So does Kochou become a regular feature by her relationship with Ran Shogun and Shuurei? (noticed the next ep has her too)

Just saw your updates to the Characters page. It looks great, and the kanji names are a great help!

*laughs* I loved the sheep too. Definitely indicative of what Ryuuren thought about that. ^^; As for his future... remember he was sworn to "pass in the top three". There was nothing about his sticking around after that... :P

Hmm... she does show up on occasion in the next story, that's true... I don't recall if she shows up after this storyline though. Maybe briefly is possible but nothing major from what I remember.

vampire

Finally read all your updates ^-^
I love the CD mini story about Ryuuki. He is so adorable. Shame they didn't include this cute scene in the anime. It'd be nice to see Ryuuki's face when he realized all the buns gone ^^;; And because I adore Seiran, I want to see more of him jealous.Seriously, Shuurei's a bit dense when it comes to that. btw- Who is Yougetsu? I'm a bit confused with the names of the characters here in Saiunkoku. Even the names and faces of the advisors confuses me too, adding to that even Dr. You waahh... Is he human?

Thanks again Shadow! ^-^

Yougetsu is... let out whenever Eigetsu has alcohol. While not in the next couple of storylines, we'll get more of the Eigetsu / Yougetsu story after that. As for Dr. You, I need to move him to MIA for now. He definitely should show up later, but he missed his original debut in story 2. :/

I would race with Ysa, because I'm a competitive wench sometimes. But I've been distracted. Oh yes!

*pets* (I confess, I haven't even looked at the file - I had to leave before it was dl'ed, and by the time I got home and it was done, the day was a mess. Tomorrow.)

Hey sweetie. It's been a long time. I was thinking about you this morning because I am going to Michaels tonight to buy some yarn and other goodies. What have you been up to? I hope you are well!

I've been working a lot, mostly on cosplay things and trying to keep up with all the summer events my family and friends have been hosting. :)

Oh yeah, you might be able to answer this. I'm looking for beige dye for clothing. Do you know if an arts and craft store might have that? Where would you be more inclined to look?

Ooooohhh... the v-neck sounds pretty. Any pictures?

Hey there! It has been awhile hasn't it. Hope all's going well with you. Over here, I've mostly been really bad experimenting with fansubbing Kokumono. I've just about got it down now I think. ^^;;

I remember wombat1138 giving a link to a site with lots of dyes, but generally you should be able to get them at a proper fabric store. I'm not sure about a general crafts store like Michaels though. Hopefully you found it when you went out tonight. ^^;;

The sweater kit we got was for the sweater (black & white) on the very right

http://www.rebecca-online.de/cont_en/heft_archiv/heft_28/seite_03.php

only the kit comes with grey (primary) and lavender purple (accent) so it won't be quite so stark. ^_^ Should prove interesting.

Uwah!!! That's soooo pretty. *___* I can't wait to see the finished product. I went to a fabric store last night. I checked out JoAnn Fabrics (sp?) website, and they had what I needed... but I only had a Hancock Fabrics' in my area. They had a brown color. I'm going to test it on something before trying to use it because -- in reality -- I need tan.

I'm going to Michaels tonight for other stuff. Otakon is proving to be very expensive. -_-

Fansubbing? Ano... you are so brave!

uh.......i know the feeling of going into a yarn store and not finding anything. tis a sad day. Right now, i am contemplating going today to pick up new yarn for the baby sweater (#2 & 3) to do in between the flip=flop slipper socks ( i figure i should get a head start since i want to make a bunch as christmas gifts)

caatching up is a bitch. i am with you.
btw, you going to continue with subbing?

So far, it looks like I'm game for continuing with fansubbing. ^^;; It's proving to be lots of fun, and it... takes different skills again compared to straight text translation. Editing's being really good for me in that sense since I'm constantly stewing over wording and how to express things (not to mention getting things fixed and weirdness pointed out...) :P

Since the series has continued a fair amount, I've decided to go at things bi-directionally. Forward from now and work backwards (by story) to the start. It is quite time-consuming though. ^^;;
