Does anyone know how long it takes to get from Queen subway out to Downsview? TTC's site isn't giving me any ride time info for me to know what time to leave. I suppose I could just take a taxi, but... >.>

Maybe you're en route already, but in case not: Chris and I never went up that leg of the line very much, but we're guessing maybe 45 minutes? It's probably about 15 minutes from Queen to Spadina. (Avoid the taxi! Avoid!) It could be up to an hour, though; I'm not sure how much difference it makes that it's not as straight as the other northbound leg.

Also, 416-393-4636 is the TTC's number for "information on fares, routes, schedules and service".

Thanks for the info! Not going that way yet. It's for tomorrow when I go write the JLPT. ^_^ Taxi fares out here are pretty spooky, but I might not have much choice. I didn't realise the *trains* started at 9AM on Sundays. O_O;;

Thanks for the #. I'll give them a call. ^_^

Yeah, if it's for the test, call and ask. ^^ Although Ginny probably has a pretty good idea, too--unlike us, she's from Toronto, and my geography's been slipping since we moved away. (I'd forgotten that about the trains. I don't think I was ever in the habit of going places Sunday mornings.)

It's true that a taxi could be horrifying. The TTC info number Ysa gave is correct, but as I said, I'm not sure if it's still in service. You could try calling taxi companies for estimates. Hey! You're in a hotel; you could get your concierge to help you. ^_~

It takes about 45 minutes to an hour from what I can remember. But I recommend leaving early just in case it takes longer.

Thanks for the info! You were right about how long it took. Good thing I took a taxi rather than risking taking transit. ^^;
