Oh, good grief!

current mood: aggravated

NaNo's over, and Haku's (Eee's) resolution is too low for me to do any translations from scans on it or for me to do any editing of my NaNo either. So, since I've essentially been rained / snowed to death since coming to Vancouver (okay, okay it cleared up in the afternoon, but I didn't venture far from the hotel since I no longer felt up to wandering to familiar places) I decided to take my new pens (I bought 4 disposable fountain pens and one cheap mini fountain pen at the pen shop next to the hotel) and new journals and start writing.

Nothing major...

My NaNo left one plot point unresolved, which is to be the subject of the next story. However, I somehow managed to take a concept I'd been considering but had discarded yesterday as too one-dimensional, come up with a concept that would make the setting work, and thought up a story three to this set?! Story two isn't even written and I already have three partially plotted out?! (Heck, two isn't even plotted out yet!) The good thing is that the third story will be the end to the set (it was only supposed to be a one-shot...). The bad thing is I still have to write two and three. Grrr! (akinarei you haven't let the plot bunnies loose again, have you??)

I thought getting the story out of me for NaNo was supposed to take care of the writing bug. Not give me a major infestation. Grrr. And of course, we're still talking about bad NaNo level writing here. >.> *sigh* ginny_t can we have a bit of "untimely demise" over here? At least for these FF concepts?? >.<;

And for those who are truly insane, apparently there's talk on the NaNo forums for a NaNoWriDay to happen Jan 5. The concept is to write 50k in one day. O_O;; I'm not quite sure what to make of that. Of course, if you really know what you want to write...?? Is it even physically possible to write that much in 24 hours?? I have no idea. Personally, I don't think my insanity extends quite that far. At least I hope not. ^^;

In any case, it's time to say good night. Good night. :P

Out to tea

*laughs* You poor thing. Not my bunny this time, sadly. Charlie's been low-key since finals are starting soon.

But if you're volunteering to take care of him until next week... I won't say no. =OP

50k in 24 hours? O.O You'd have to be straight-jacket mental to even attempt it, I think.

Pens! How lovely! What does the journal look like? Umm... snow and rain. ...Sounds like fun?

No really, you can kick me now for that.

Darn! I was so hoping it was your plot bunny on the loose and it would be a simple matter of capture and return. >.>

NOOOOO!!! Keep all bunnies away from me!! >.<;; I have all too much to keep me occupied right now.

I'm debating a lower limit since 50k is ridiculous if you want it to also make sense. >.> Maybe 20 or 25k since it's for a solid 24 hours of writing.

I picked up a standard moleskine journal after hearing so much (mixed comments) about them. It's actually interesting paper (quite smooth) but it feathers with my disposable pens. I'm going to fill my Birdie and see if it doesn't feather with it. ^_^

*kick* Snow and rain are not fun. Especially not when in substantial quantities and you want to go out. If it's stay indoors times then we can talk. :P

*grins* I like snow... so long as I don't have to drive in it or be out in it. Rain I can handle (torrents of it in Florida at any given time and especially during Hurricane season).

I saw some lovely bound journals at Barnes and Nobles. I think I'll pick one or two up for myself. New journals for new ideas. ^_^

I hope the Birdie works better for the moleskin, then.

More power to you if you can get that amount of words out. I'd need massive amounts of coffee in me before attempting it. ~_~ 50k in one month now seems more plausible.

LOL! Don't worry. Charlie's under lock and key at the moment. I've already told him he can come out after I finish my last final. XD

Absolutely! That's one of the reasons why I have so many journals here. I love the look of many of them, and they're ideal for keeping a story all together. ^_^

*laughs* 50k in a month is definitely plausible although I have to admit to being stunned by the people who managed >500k. O_O;; Personally, I'm figuring 75k would be a good goal for me next year. It seems like it'd be a good length (50k might be short unless the story is a bit more limited) and time-wise should still be quite doable. ^_^

Well... Charlie might be under lock and key, but someone's sure running rampant. I got nibbled again last night while working on my plot lines. >.> *sigh*

Birdie's been filled again, so I'll be seeing how it does on the Moleskine later tonight. ^_^ Of course, I think I should look at writing story 2 as well as editing 1 before beginning on 3... ^^;; I need a "flush" function for my brain. :P

Bleach

my god, i must be crazy but i dare say i'd want to try to and i do have a story i'd write about in mind, the side story which took place in my nanowrimo this year. The more i wrote about the other story the more i came to the realization that its a book within itself and there are so many other details to write on.

I'm still writing my nanowrimo, i haven't begun editting since I'm only halfway through it now. Like I'm only on her teeange years and I still have two additional parts i want to do.

*laughs* You're insane. :P I might go for it for a reduced limit. I can't see 50k being much in the way of quality writing. Besides, I'm a slow writer. :P

Good luck with your NaNo! I remember you mentioning you had a long way to go on it. ^_^

Raining and snowing? =/ NG! Never got into NaNo... but it looks addicting?

It... can be if you like writing. I think it's worse at the end when you have all the excitement and energy of having gone through it but nothing more to direct it at. Hence, weird things start popping up... ^^;

have written by skellorg on obsessiveico

butbutbut … but I want to read the fics.

*pets* Nice pen haul. ^_^

edit: on the other hand, NaNoWriDay is just craziness. Just sit down and take deep breaths until the impulse passes. Craziness.

Hey! You're not *helping* me here! Whose side are you on? ...Or do I want to know? :P

I'm having fun with the disposables but I suspect they won't last long if I'm doing FF writing. ^^;

Maybe a 25 k NaNoWriDay would be doable. Certainly not 50k. ^^;

Yeah. That strikes me as truly insane. ^^; I think I could do it in a week with a lot of effort and planning, but one day... Natch!

A couple or a few are nice. They're fuzzy and warm and cute. But a deluge?! *gasp* Help! I can't... breathe... *splat* :P
