Yesterday, I managed to finish turning three heels. FSU took a good five seconds before she responded to that one. ^^;; What I didn't tell her was that I also unknit one, so I didn't actually end up with any weird footwear. :P I guess it could be worse; it could be a Morticia sweater. :P

NaNo so far is going quite slowly. I'm having problems writing in the sense of I can't seem to think of words right now. (Not to mention that I usually think out my FFs in Japanese since that's the language I mostly use when reading GH.) It's actually getting quite annoying. Maybe doing a mini GH fest will help kick the brain back into gear, but I'm still barely into my opening scene. >.> Actually story set-up will take a bit longer. Which reminds me, while I think of it... for those people doing NaNo, how do you keep track of word count in your online account? The server there is so slow I don't want to wander around too much right now trying to figure out how to keep track. (I don't have any real progress to keep track of at the moment, and waiting a week to update it won't be the end of the world. :P )

I wish I could knit and type at the same time though. It would allow these silly socks to progress much faster... oh wait, it should be the other way around. It would allow this silly FF to progress much faster. If I'm really good, I might finish my Wild Things plain socks this weekend. ^o^ Meanwhile, the Celtic Braid socks are... maybe 3/4" of ribbing? *laughs*

Otherwise, Funimation has licensed GH. Yay! I'm glad it's been licensed, and depending on how things go, I might pick up the R1 version as well. I like this series too much not to collect them. :P

Anyhow, time to start hunting down dinner... Fooooooddd... *zombie mode*

I'm not doing NaNo this year, but... your Word software should come with a word counter. Are you using a form of Microsoft Word?

If you ever need to bat ideas with someone, you know where to find me! ^_^

I'm working with Open Office at the moment, and yes, it does have a word count function. As I understand it, the NaNo website also has a progress tracker presumably for your user account, but I'm not sure how to use it/where it is. ^^;

*laughs* Plot bunny breeder! I'll be sure to come knocking when the bunnies start beating me into submission. ^_^

It does? Ooo! NaNo is cool!

*laughs* Plot bunny breeder! I'll be sure to come knocking when the bunnies start beating me into submission. ^_^

Oh, dear. My reputation preceeds me. ^o^ You should warn my co-work who's participating in NaNo about that. I don't think she knows yet. XD

*grimace* I remember the bunny proliferation that resulted from the challenge fic discussions we had. I still need to write up the actual challenge fic let along the poor spawn as well. >.>

I'm not sure, but I suspect I pity your co-worker...... naahhhh, I'm not that nice. :P

GH - Yasuhara - darjeeling or earl grey?

I still need to write up the actual challenge fic let alone the poor spawn as well.

Yes, yes you do. *pleeeezeface*

*laughs* BTW, any plans on your end for more GH FFs? I remember reading the YasuMai one you wrote. ^_^

GH - Yasuhara - sweet boy

No plans, nope. None, damnit! Not even if Yasuhara promises to be the bestest cabana boy evar. *fierce*

(BTW, on the subject of knitting foibles, I had lace stupidity earlier today. I really was not in a state to be doing the lace, nope.)

Darn! Shounen Tanteidan, you're not doing your job! :P

(Yikes! Lace stupidity is not good. Hope it's not too serious/been sorted out. >.<; )

GH - Yasuhara - anything you can do

You keep encouraging him like that and I'll start posting porn again. I'm just sayin'.

(Lace was sorted out, thanks. ^_^ Hopefully, today'll be better for the brain.)

Porn! ^o^ *laughs* Actually FSU and I are currently hunting for some decent... aran weight? heavier? yarn for a cabled vest in the latest Knit Simple magazine. She's doing the vest while I'm looking at doing a cabled scarf in the same issue. (Unfortunately, neither project is listed on the online site's preview page. >.> ) I wonder how many (regular for winter) scarves I'll have by the end of this winter. (FSU's made me one so far.) :P

(Oh good. I hate it when I screw up lace as it can be such a pain to undo. Good luck with it! ^_^ )

*snicker* My dog is looking at me strangely because I'm remembering that now.

I still need to write up the actual challenge fic let along the poor spawn as well.

I need to find mine and finish it. It's bad not giving me a time constraint with challenges.

I'm not sure, but I suspect I pity your co-worker...... naahhhh, I'm not that nice.

Me neither. I'm so thoughtful that I didn't tell her about that aspect of bouncing ideas off of me. XD

Ack! Tell me about the no constraints issue. >.> That's why I'm using NaNo to hack something out, but... it would help if there were something where I could do something similar only already started. That way I could *finish* some of these half-written ideas I have on my system. :P

Make your own rules

*shrug* You could write "to be continued" where you left off and then write the rest as part 2. (Granted, it'll set off my sequel grumble, but I'll be too busy bouncing and reading to get into a real rant. ^_~)

Harmony--Ghost Hunt

Ginny has a point. "To be continued..." is always a solution. ^_^ But on the down side, it means we poke you more.

BTW, Ginny, no spoilers for chapter ten. Sorry. ^_^

*groans* You too? Gah! I have so many things I've started that I haven't finished. I need someone to poke me and make sure I'm working on them. Maybe the plot bunnies would be kept in check if I did. >.<

I should tell Yami to poke me about her story. What a belated birthday story-fic she'll be getting! When I finish it, that is. ~_~ Hmmm...if its long enough, I might be able to sign up for NaNo after all. What's the word count for a NaNo entry? 60,000 words? It's not finished by a long shot yet, either. OOO!

Yeah. Way too many things started. >.< IIRC, Novel in 90 is having their next "official start" in Dec. (You can start whenever you want, but if you do, you're on your own for keeping track of your own progress.) I might use that one to finish one of the ff's that've already been started. I agree I need the occasional poke to keep going (provided there are no other major intervening factors). *sigh*

NaNo is 50,000 words, but the story has to be started and finished in Nov., which is why I've started yet anther new story. >.> (If you haven't started writing the story (planning in advance is okay, just no writing), then it's fair game for NaNo. ^_^ )

Delirium toes by enriana

Glad to know I'm not the only one all "3 heels? O_o". ^_^

Posted at: November 3rd, 2007 05:12 pm (UTC)

*laughs* It could be worse. FSU actually *did* turn the heel twice on a sock she was working on. It was absolutely hilarious. I remember her initial WTF?! reaction when she looked at the sock trying to figure out what she did to the thing. ^^;;

OHNO! (Is it bad that I'm rather amused?) Poor FSU!

*laughs* I still laugh at the thought of that sock. (Actually we both do.) It was really amusing. ^^;;
