As above. I haven't driven for... 5? 6? years IIRC. And that was once. It's really been ~a decade since I last *drove* (as in daily, here, there, and everywhere). And this city has since degenerated into traffic chaos which is why I don't care to now. If I survive, I'll be back for tonight's seeding. >.>

One quick trip over, one quick trip back...

ack! *pets* Please get back safely, and not because of the seeding. ^_~ I hope it's for something at least worthwhile, like filled croissants…

>.> If only. (Although FSU went out early and picked up some filled croissants yesterday so all's good on that front.) ^^;

The male parental had to get... a root canal done? Something like that. They were using laughing gas on him so he wasn't allowed to drive afterwards. FSU's the other major driver, but she's only free Mon and Wed for that. Hence, me. The good thing is I got through most of Autobiography of a Geisha. I picked the book up while I was in Japan, but never got around to reading it until now. :P The bad news, I have to do the same thing next week on Tuesday. >.> Boy I hope traffic's light. The worst thing is I can't judge distances anymore... and I don't know where my right side is either. Pointing and going is easy, but there's a decided lack of true control that's not good. ^^;

*pets* You'll do just fine. I command it. ^_~ (That pesky right-hand side - always moving around.)

I should've picked up a pastry this morning. Maybe tomorrow. *plots*

*laughs* At least it's my right side and not my "other" right side. ^^;

Should I mention how I envy you the patisseries within walking distance? >.> The only thing within walking distance... is nothing of note here. Actually, of "note" is a music shop IIRC in the strip mall. I might be wrong though as I've never gone there. ^^;

^^;; Sad, but true. Over here, it's a bit of a necessity if you want true freedom to go wherever (like buy good ice cream (which I can't eat anyways...)), but depending on where you live/where you want to go, it might be possible to manage.

^_^

Glad to see you got there and back again safely.

You must have really good mass transit there if you haven't driven in a decade. Ours sucks.

*laughs* I don't know if I'd call it *good*, but... I've always managed something. ^^; I just can't "manage" to get out of it this time. :P (As long as it doesn't set a dangerous precedence or make me want to seriously drive again. I used to drive *everywhere* including the mountains on a whim after work at night. ^^;)

If I didn't have my car, I'd seriously go crazy. Speaking from experience, having to depend on others to take you where you need to go seriously sucks. Big time.
