Okay... I'm seriously going to have to figure out some sort of exercise regimen if I want to keep going to the pastry shop. I managed to sneak out there again today at ~11AM... and learned lesson #1. This shop must be reached early in the morning; the earlier, the better. They had no filled croissants left whatsoever. Next time, I think I'll aim for 9AM which could mean catching the tail end of rush hour coming from this direction. >.> (I think the shop opens at 7:30AM) From what FSU's boss told her when she went, there's a line up in the early morning, and some people buy lots to freeze for the week.

Otherwise, Kadokawa's site has the next book for Saiunkoku listed for April 1 release: The Dayflower Sways in the Blue Storm. (青嵐にゆれる月草; 月草 according to my dictionary, is an ancient name for 露草 which translates as dayflower. Otherwise, the kanji would suggest moon flower/grass or similar). It looks like the woman from the Ran clan will be coming next. ^___^ This could prove interesting. Hopefully more so than the last book. I kept wanting to swat Shuurei. >.>

And is it me or is AniDB saying that Shoumyou is now to be 24 eps?! Eep! I'm really hoping not, but... And I still haven't watched the past couple of eps for Shoumyou. I've got to get myself in order. >.

^^;; Sorry, I'm only a few pages in so far on that translation. I'm going to have to summarise parts of the pages otherwise it'll take too long. That, and I need to get started on the next ep's translation too. ^^;

Mostly she was being a brainless, clueless idiot. The last novel was all about the officials in name only doing something to make themselves useful somewhere within the courts so that they wouldn't lose their jobs. Shuurei, however, spent about half her grace period getting the others into not giving up and working at things. She was being exceptionally clueless, brainless... naive doesn't even begin to describe things. >.>

Ryuuki! XD

*sighs* Shuurei, Shuurei...I see have to make a trip to Mitsuwa soon to see if I can find any Saiunkoku goodies!

Oh, and yes, I like filled croissants too! XD And yes, you have to get to the bakeries here early, or they sell out! ;_;

Shoumyou - interrobang

That Shoumyou news makes me sad. It means that the whole season will be 2 arcs only. :/ It also means that 23 will end in just as much frustration and lack of resolution as 22 did. :/ I want some comic relief, damnit! I hope there's at least a proper dénoeument…

*cries* Oh proper bakery in Toronto, where are you?! I guess the correct place to ask that question is the Toronto food community. I just might do that.

(Also just curious, not correcting: you say "the woman" from the Ran clan - there's a particular woman that it refers to? Why's she so notorious? The Ran clan is pretty intriguing. I could happily learn more about them.)

Well, lirren says that it's still listed for 26 so we can hope. We'll see if they cover the first story of the next arc which is a logical place to cut things off. However, most of this part to the story doesn't have much in the way of comic relief. ;_;

("The woman" because IIRC she was actually named compared to the many half-sisters Shuuei's supposed to have. ^^; What she's like is anyone's guess at this point. ^^; )

Cheers! I can seriously hope it's right. (That's what the tentative DVD sched suggested when I saw it eons ago, but that might also be subject to change...)

Speaking of shows getting cut by an episode, I assume you've heard by now that Ghost Hunt is only going to be 25 episodes not 26. I wonder what happened to Go! Go! Ghosthunters!? I even saw it on some TV broadcast listings. So it's not as if AniDB pulled the name out of the air or something. *sigh*

Um, I hate to pester you, but I was wondering if you received the email of GH questions that I sent you? I just want to make you got it. Sometimes my email goes a little screwy.

I saw that, and am wondering what happened with that. :/ Mind you, Go! Go! seemed a weird title since it was a tiny omake clip... I'm still hoping it'll be 26 eps with the final being conclusion to all the mysteries. As it is, the first ep covered... 2/3 of the first manga? It also covered about 1/3 of the novel. :/ We'll see how the rest of the eps go and how the pacing is. It could go like the final CD drama where some things are revealed in passing without the build up that happened in the novels.

I did, but I still have to check some points. Re-reading parts has made me rethink certain aspects and I'm still trying to find out if one of the points was discussed at a later point as well. BTW, for #8, you mentioned a conversation. Are you talking about the CD drama conversation where IIRC, three of them take part, or where there's only two of them? The scene itself tells me it's in the final novel set though (White Heart).

I was hoping for that as well. But the Japanese broadcast schedules are showing the word END by episode 25. If I find the URL again, I'll come back and give it to you.

I'm hoping J.C. Staff does something like that. Doubly so because the end of v9 is a really lousy way to end a series. It's good for an investigation end. But for the end of a series all together? Not up to snuff in my opinion.

There are 2 conversations?? The only one I knew about was the one where all three take part. Is that only in the CD drama and not the novels? Or is there an additional conversation in the novels not covered by the CDs? I really want as much novel information as possible for my report. So if they have a second conversation with just them, I would love to know about it if it's not too much trouble.

Gah! Sorry. I was trying to keep things spoiler free and obscure enough that it wouldn't give clues but went too far. That should be where 3 people took part vs two people taking part in the conversation. >.> There were a number of changes to things between the novel and CD drama since the drama is primarily the story in White Heart but contains spoiler aspects of the final story from the Teen's Heart series.

I'm still a little confused. :(
But the bottom line is that whatever happened in the novel is what I really want to know about. I know more people have listened to the CDs than have read the novel. But my goal is to give the anime-viewers an idea of what happened in the novels.

Here's the Google-translated page of Ghost Hunt broadcast schedule on various Japanese channels. You can see that most of the episode 25s have the word next to them. Only one station is listing an episode 26 and it doesn't list a name for the episode. :(

Curses.
"You can see that most of the episode 25s have the word END next to them."

I really need to proof and then post. Not post and then proof.

Hmm... most of the listings with ep 25 as the last ep were changed at the end of Feb to Mar, so presumably they'd be more accurate than the first one which looks like it was changed Feb 10. *sigh* 3 more eps to go then. ^^;

Off-topic, but something you might want to know. Anime News Network is reporting that Geneon has licensed Shounen Onmyouji.
