Yay! An early Christmas present. I've been anxiously awaiting your release of episode 6. (Yours is the version I plan to write to CD.) I can't wait for you to get into the next story arc. It's my favorite of the 5 mangas. (I'm hunting down vol 6 but haven't found it yet.) Thank you so very much for working on this program! :D

Cheers! This ep was a bit delayed as I fought with some graphics issues which I'm hoping I'm getting a handle on now. ^^; While I haven't read the English version, I'm sure you'll like vol 6 of the manga. Just try not to scream when you reach the end of it. I know I literally did. ^^;;

Oh man. I'm beginning to think you're like that quote you have about Shigure ... in your own right, "evil". I doubt I'll find be able to find v6 this close to Christmas which means next week is probably the earliest I'll be able to find it. Now that you've said that teaser, I'm going to go crazy wondering what you meant!

*laughs* ^^; And I'll try not to spoil it for you either, this story deserves to be savoured. I just peeked at what I did for the second CD Drama (same story line; I subbed it 2-3 years ago) but... O_O Good grief it needs editing! >_<;

You translated the second CD drama? Is that translation online where I could read it? I have the 4 CD dramas. But since I don't understand Japanese, I have a hard time listening to them. In fact, I'm not even sure I have them in the right order. I listened to the "first" one and from what I could tell it's the 4th volume story. I would very much like to know what's going on in those if there's any possible way for me to read along.

Yeah, the CD dramas are a bit unusual in that the first drama (2 disks) starts with story 4 and flashes back to the first story, drama 2 is in Suwa, drama 3 is with the Yoshimi family, and drama 4 is the post-series White Heart storyline. So the stories with the doll and with Kasai were never done in the CD dramas. If you give me your email addy, I can send you the subs but they have to be played in RealPlayer. Like I said, they seriously need editing and apparently I wasn't consistent between honorifics or no. >.< (I'm not willing to openly post this one right now. Not only is it seriously needing editing (ohhhh yeah...), but I've had some problems with translations being stolen and used without permission lately). :/

I've been meaning to ask about the manga - the question was going to be if it was all out yet. You've answered that one. ^_^ How many volumes will it be? I'm thinking of picking it up…

Not sure how many it'll be. So far, there are nine volumes and we have at least one more story to go through (the one that wraps up all the mysteries), possibly two more if they do the story that was published by White Heart (each of these stories were two books long). The manga has various little details that aren't showing up in the anime and there are two non-canon stories by the manga-ka that are/will also be in the anime: 'Park Ghost Story' and 'Silent Christmas'.

I didn't realize that the park story was non-canon. I knew the Christmas story was manga-original because the mangaka mentioned that in her notes. But from all the little things that happened with Mai, Masako, and Naru and the speculation of Naru's finances, I assumed that the park story was canon. There was so much character development in that little story. Was all of that character development wrong?

Hmm... from what I recall, the park story itself is non-canon, but the epilogue from the novel was put as the epilogue to that story in the manga, so the character development in the office is canon. (In the original novels, the epilogue happens in the summer time so Bou-san asks for his usual iced coffee.) ^^;

I'm glad the office interplay is canon even if the park ghost incident wasn't. The interplay about Masako & Naru and Mai's jealousy, and the speculation about Naru's financial backing seemed very important to me. If it hadn't been canon, I would have been very disappointed.
